Job Description

Provide HSE contractor management support to field sites in accordance with all applicable ADNOC offshore HSE policies and procedures, corporate safety codes of practice, UAE statutes and international standards.  Advise company line management regarding contractor management HSE matters and liaise with contractors to support HSE planning, safety, risk management, emergency response, environmental and regulatory, field execution and HSE performance & compliance activities during all phases of field operations (including production, construction execution, well operations, and drilling).

  • Oversee all aspects of HSE contractor management program efficiency calling upon shareholder expertise and corporate HSE staff resources to support management in attaining HSE objectives
  • Implement HSE contractor management best practices as applicable from ADNOC Offshore,  shareholder companies and the oil and gas industry
  • Drive HSE contractor management excellence through line management visibility and involvement
  • Establish working relationships and maintain regular communication with counterparts in shareholder companies and major contract companies
  • Provides oversight to the contractor’s HSE processes and ensures these processes are being implemented per the approved HSE plans and procedures
  • Identify HSE related issues that may affect HSE performance and works with project teams, corporate HSE, site personnel, IPMT members and contractors to help resolve HSE issues during all phases of project or execution
  • Assists the EPC contractor management with formulating plans to rectify site HSE issues and gaps and to resolve HSE issues through all phases of the project or contract execution
  • Recommends and stewards continuous improvement suggestions and initiatives to the EPC contractor site HSE processes and procedures

Minimum Criteria

Minimum Qualification

  • Bachelor Degree in Mechanical/Chemical/Safety engineering or equivalent accreditation in the field of Safety & Risk

Minimum Experience & Knowledge & Skills

  • 10 years’ HSE experience in the Oil & Gas Industry, of which 5 years in offshore.
  • Excellent knowledge of English is required.
  • Good writing and presentation skills.

Professional Certifications

  • NEBOSH, IOSH or equivalent diploma would be an advantage.
